Artibonite Valley

The Artibonite Valley is Haiti's largest rice-producing region, but farmers lack the funds and cultivation skills to make full use of it. We are acting as engineering consultants on a hydrological study of the Estère River as part of the Inter-American Development Bank's agricultural intensification program. The study's findings will open the way for major improvements in agricultural practices in the region.

North Sulawesi Water Resource Development Project

The overall objective of this CAN$14 million project is to strengthen the Government's capabilities (Sub-Dinas Pengairan organization) in water resources planning design, construction, operation, maintenance and management. The goal of the project is to improve, in a sustainable manner, the effectiveness and efficiency of irrigation operations and water resources development in North Sulawesi. SNC-Lavalin's work on this project includes: Training Procurement Creating and supporting local organization for operation and maintenance of irrigation facilities Strengthening the provincial institutions and staff Ensuring environmental protection Client: Government of Indonesia
