SNC-Lavalin and Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today in Amman, Jordan with the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission covering a range of areas of cooperation designed to assist Jordan in assessing the feasibility of the introduction of a CANDU® nuclear power program based on the Enhanced CANDU 6® (EC-6) reactor.

| SNC-LAVALIN AWARDED CONTRACT FOR A NEW SEAWATER DESALINATION PLANT IN ALGERIA |
SNC-Lavalin is pleased to announce that, in consortium with Acciona Agua, it has signed a contract worth approximately US$150 million with Myah Tipaza for the engineering, procurement and construction of a 120,000 m3/day seawater desalination plant in the province (wilaya) of Tipaza, Algeria. Myah Tipaza is 51% owned by Algerian Water Investment (a company formed in equal partnership by SNC-Lavalin and Acciona Agua) and 49% by a publicly-owned Algerian economic enterprise, "Algerian Energy Company Spa". SNC-Lavalin also signed a joint venture contract with Acciona Agua to operate and maintain the plant for 25 years once it is built.

The Board of Directors of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. has filed a notice to renew, for a 12-month period, its normal course issuer bid, which will expire on May 30, 2008. In the notice, the Corporation states that a maximum of 10,636,000 Common Shares, representing slightly less than 10% of the public float of Common Shares, may be purchased for cancellation. As of May 20, 2008, the Corporation had 151,121,273 Common Shares issued and outstanding, 106,366,016 of which made up the public float.

| SNC-LAVALIN AWARDED CONTRACT FOR SULPHURIC ACID PLANT IN KAZAKHSTAN |
SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a lump-sum engineering and procurement contract by Kazzinc JSC (a division of Glencore) for a new sulphuric acid plant, which will be an integral part of Kazzinc’s new copper smelter in Ust-Kamenogorsk in eastern Kazakhstan. The contract is valued at over CAN $60 million (approximately €42 million).

| SNC-LAVALIN AWARDED CONTRACT FOR ENERGY DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS IN CALIFORNIA |
SNC-Lavalin has been awarded a contract by Pacific Gas & Electric Company, to develop, install & commission Distribution Management Systems (DMS) for its electricity distribution network. The new DMS systems will control California’s electricity distribution network for Northern and Central California using SNC-Lavalin’s GENe systems. They will be installed and operated from regional distribution centres in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, and in Northern and Central California.

SNC-Lavalin is pleased to announce that, along with local partner Minerconsult Engenharia, it has signed a US$100 million contract with Anglo American Brasil Ltda to provide engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) for a greenfield ferro-nickel plant near Barro Alto, in the state of Goiás, 170 km to the northwest of Brasilia, Brazil.

SNC-Lavalin and its partners, Murray & Roberts and Hatch, are pleased to announce that they have, as joint venture partners, signed a contract with Alcan Inc., valued at more than US$100 million, for the front-end engineering and design (FEED) and engineering, procurement and construction management services (EPCM) for the first phase of Alcan’s Coega Aluminium Smelter Project in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Upon completion of this first phase, the smelter will have an initial capacity of 360,000 tonnes/yr.
